sorry for posting random stuff

but i just thought i'd let all of you wisconsinites know that right now there's two girls behind me talking about wisconsin.... one of them went there to visit for the weekend in Waukesha.... I really really really want to turn around and tell them i'm from wisconsin.... :P The one who visited was like "omg did you know you can drink in wisconsin when you're 18 as long as your parents say it's okay?" and i was thinking in my head, haha suckers. Michigan SUCKS. lol

so just to let you all know the purpose of this blog post was to express my current feelings of giddy joy in another way than actually laughing out loud and seeming like a crazy person. I still feel like laughing my a** off, but that's just because I love the way michigandians say wisconsin. it's more like WESconsin. heh. funny. silly michigan people.

What 'Cha Doooooinnngggg?

Im just sitting here, in my favorite class by far waiting for it to start. I honestly LOVE this class. It's so much fun! Basically what we do is talk about how people speak for an hour and a half. It's so much fun :)

Happy Birthday Mom

Mom.
The one who's done just about everything a mother could possibly do for her child. She's driven me everywhere, paid for me thousands, if not millions, of times, loved me with every bone, every fiber of her being. I'm her pride and joy, the thing that she could brag about to all her friends. I'm her world, I've been her everything, and she wanted it that way. I made her so mad sometimes, but no matter what, she still loved me.
And now it's her birthday. The first birthday she's had in 18 years that I haven't been around to give her a homemade card or a hug. The first birthday she hasn't been able to see my brother and I sing happy birthday, and the first birthday that we haven't been there to take her out to dinner as a family instead of making her cook.
I miss her, even though she frustrated me so many times, made me angry, made me sad. She was always there for me, at every one of my dance recitals, all of my choir concerts, and all of my other random events. Like my guardian angel, she was there every time I fell. But now... She's so far from me. How can I be safe without my guiding light?

She may not have said it often, but when she did, I knew it was from her heart. She would say I love you at my finest moments, the times she was so proud of me her heart nearly burst with pride. She told me she was proud to have raised a daughter like me.

So Happy Birthday, Mom.

I hope you know I'm proud to call myself your daughter.

Who wants to hear about my days anymore??

I've been quite a depressing person lately. So after reading my friend's blog about her transition to Missoula, Read It here! I realize I'm being way to dramatic. She's a full 24 hours away from home and I'm only 8, and truthfully, I should be grateful for my situation. I'm a free woman with no rules except the ones I dream up, and I make my own decisions now.
So here. I'm going to list all of the positive things that have happened to me since I've been let loose. I've met three other AMAZING girls who can always crack me up and don't even realize they're doing it. They understand me like crazy and I've been welcomed into their little trio, now quartet, with open arms. I've met a guy down the hall from me who plays electric guitar and is willing to teach me just about anything on guitar. I have a girl in two of my classes, Amelia, who is like my saint sent from heaven. She's in my french and choir classes, and she has a lot of the same values and thoughts as me. She's funny, smart, kind and so much fun to talk to. I've made two extremely valuable guy friends, Mark and Ryan, who are two of the most genuine guys I've ever known since well, all of you guys who called yourselves my friends back home. I've never felt more comfortable with anyone than when I'm in their presence. My classes are teaching me some really valuable things, and not to mention the fact I'm actually enjoying some of them.

I don't normally count my blessings like this, or at all, and I've never realized how much joy I can find in a world where everything seems to be crashing down around my ears. But there's a thick silver lining to this cloud, I just needed to look harder for it.

The Healer

Someone told me yesterday
that not all people are the same
it occurred to me that they were right
that sometimes we will fight or flight

But someone told me just today
that everyone thinks this way
so does that make us all the same
or do our minds play this game?

Someone said when I was young
things I say can't be undone
I should have listened to their words
But now I know these things I've heard.

Everything they've said to me
isn't passe or old history
They were wise to help me out
And in their words there was never doubt

But I still trust with child-like grace
Which everyone sees upon my face
My wide brown eyes that pull you in
tempting you to tell me your every sin

So I've been told so many things
they're weighing me down like metal rings
I'm bearing all of these people's hearts
but I'm the healer, I hold your marks.

My Calculus Professor is Funny.

He's freaking hilarious. But not in the Dane Cook kind of way. More like the he says things that he's being completely serious about and they're just funny. And it also may be funny because he's a cute little asian man. ^_^

"When you're doing homework, you're not just doing homework. You're making a work of art."

"To get to this [answer] you have to go through a lot of steps. A lot of painful steps. But that's mathematics."
My thought immediately after that was which part was the mathematics? The painful part or the steps?
